"This might be seen as a positive kind of tinkering...preserving what is valuable and correcting what is not. But teachers cannot do the job alone...they can succeed best if they do their work in partnership with parents...An essential political task today is to renegotiate a pluralistic conception of the public good, a sense of trusteeship that preserves the best of the past while building a generous conception of a common future."

About Me
I am an integrated learning specialist with nearly twenty years of experience tailoring instructional programs to meet the individual needs of the children and families I work with. I believe every child starts out eager to learn. Along the way, difficulties in learning can wear away at their motivation and self-esteem. If the difficulties aren't addressed early on, they can become a source of chronic stress for both children and parents, leading to feelings of powerlessness. Without adequate support, it can feel like a long, lonely, and arduous journey. Having worn many hats over the decades, I find that I bring a unique perspective and set of skills that truly allow me to support students, families, teachers, and administrators.

My clients have complex cognitive profiles and usually come to me after trying other therapists, tutors, or programs. I also recognize that not everyone is a good fit, and am happy to refer out to other support services if it does not seem like I am able to support you or your child.
"That is why a culture dedicated to learning would devote its resources to those institutions that most shape our development as learners...If we want the world to improve, in other words, then we need schools that learn."
